Massage and Bodywork
UPDATE: April 2021
I will be returning to my massage therapy practice starting May 1st. I am committed to practicing massage and bodywork in the safest possible manner and am happy to discuss these details with you. Please contact me at 443-995-7246 if you would like to schedule an appointment.
Massage works beautifully for those who seek non-pharmaceutical and non-surgical approaches to managing their health and wellness. Massage activates your body’s natural healing systems, which seek restoration, balance and vitality.
Among the positive outcomes of massage:
- Reduced pain
- Reduced stress hormones
- Enhanced sense of well-being and attentiveness
- Improved immune function
- Alleviation of depressive symptoms
I was trained in the art and science of therapeutic massage by dedicated instructors and practitioners at the Baltimore School of Massage. Since graduating in 2001 I’ve completed extensive continuing education and studied the work of leaders in the field of massage and bodywork. This includes certifications in orthopedic massage, myofascial release, deep tissue, and sports massage.
I also continue to study the science and practice of mind/body health and somatic bodywork, and I work with all my clients to help them understand and integrate their life experience in such a way as to maintain a balanced and resilient mind and body.
Most sessions are a blend of modalities, and all sessions are specific to your needs.
